New Family Activity

Lately at night we have been spending time coloring. Gray loves to color especially when Andrew and I do it with him. We all have to use the same color at the same time..too funny

It has been a lot of fun. Gray is getting better at making shapes and he is really good at knowing his colors.

I like this family tradition we have started :)

And here are the pieces of art we have done lately :)

Welcome Georgia Ray

Yesterday our dear friends Megan and Norm Orman welcomed their second daughter Georgia Ray into the world. She was born around 4:15 pm, she weighs 7lbs 2 ounces and is 19 inches long.

I had the opportunity to go visit her today. There were tons of visitors at the same time, so I wasn't able to get but this one picture

She is a doll!

Mom, dad and big sister Sophia are doing great!@

Sunday fun day with Gray and I (part 3)

After I finished my ice cream and we got a lid for Gray's, we headed to the bridge to watch a big boat go through the canal. Gray has never gotten to watch this before, so it was fun to see his reaction to it all

Here it comes

A big cheeser grin quick for mom

Then back to watching the big boat come in to the canal

It is getting closer...at this point the boat blew it's horn..wow was that loud

Gray wasn't sure what to think of the horn, but he thought the big boat was super cool!

.
The last look at the boat before it heads into the harbor

One last shot by the big anchor before our long walk back up the lake walk

Gray and I had a really nice afternoon together
On our walk back Gray got to see more horse drawn carriages and the train
So next time we head down to the canal he wants to ride the horses and the train..should be an adventure :)

Sunday fun day with Gray and I (part 2)

After we played in the lake for a while...we walked down the lake walk further and decided to hit cold stone and get some ice cream. Which was more my idea because I had to go to the bathroom really bad and I wasn't sure how I would handle a Biffie with a kid and a stroller...

Anyway, Gray really enjoyed his blueberry ice cream

Got distracted from eating his ice cream when the horse drawn carriages went past

Sunday fun day with Gray and I (part 1)

Andrew was out of town the last couple days fishing. So today Gray and I some time and went down to the lake to enjoy the beautiful weather

First we walked down the lake walk to the area where you can throw rocks in to the lake

Our cutie

First throw of a rock into the water..You can see the rock still in the air

Here he is throwing in a stick

Heading back in from wading in the water

These next shots are just fun ones of him walking around in the water, he did good not to fall in :)

taking a load off...watching the boats

Darling shot

He's got his sticks and he is enthralled with all the boats

Playdate with Sawyer and Lucy

Kel and Sawyer (along with Sandy) made a quick trip up to Duluth Saturday afternoon. So we got together with Christa and Lucy for a playdate.

It is amazing to see how fast Sawyer is growing, considering how little I see him :)

It was fun to watch the kids interact and for us girls to get a chance to catch up.

Here are some shots from the day

Sawyer checking out the potty chair

Miss Lucy

Gray showing Sawyer and Lucy his dance moves

Sawyer was starving so he had some pizza

We tried to get the kids to sit together for a picture, it didn't last long enough

Gray trying to pull Sawyer in the tractor

Sawyer wanted nothing to do with going down the slide..all he wanted to do was hang out at the top of the slide...

Gray and Lucy in the sand box

Sawyer found the wheel and wanted to take his turn driving

Okay..so we tried again to get them in a shot..this is the best one I got

This one wasn't bad, but Gray isn't looking and Lucy had had enough and is getting up..oh well..still fun!

Senor Gray

Lucy max'n and relax'n

Sawyer looking at the chickens..he followed them around and kept pointing at them, I don't think he knew what to make of them

Gray decided to end the playdate in his diaper and rain boots, playing boats in the bird bath...oh what a fun little man he is :)

The kids had a great time, us girls had fun catching up. It was a short visit, but worth it :)
Hopefully we can do it again sooner rather than later...
